I dream with my eyes open
We reduced the screentime for our kids for the reason that they would miss using their imagination. Everything is served on the plate readymade, these days. Their brain would get flat when they don’t get to imagine, and that’s what I felt. I am no science expert to prove it though😛. I speak out of my experience and knowledge my teachers and elders passed on. So, I would say that the best exercise one can give to the mind is to read books.
Books — make readers imagine, increase their curiosity, and keep the thinking graph dramatically engaged.
I love to carry books with me then, now, and will tomorrow. I was even labelled as a nerd during my college days. Likewise, I would love to see my girls to take books with them wherever they go. They may look a bit dorky, but the truth is they would live in the present, no matter how the world sees them.
Being mindful is more critical to help us find peace of mind. Reading is one of the ways to develop mindfulness in kids. Mindful reading not only widens one’s knowledge, but it also promises profoundness, calmness and an increase in the size of the brain, I bet.
The more we read, the better we witness life.
You dream with your eyes open when you read a book. A man with a book in his hand is the richest of all, no matter what he is regarding wealth, in my view. Glad that we inculcated reading habit in our kids. It excites us to see them being surrounded by books.
